Column Button
Select this button to add columns to the pier structure. Clicking this button will activate the Column screen.
Note: that this screen will appear differently depending on the selected column shape, i.e., rectangular, round, rectangular tapered, rectangular chamfered, hexagonal, or octagonal.
Note: that for tapered columns, you have three options: Rect. Tapered in X-Dir, Rect. Tapered in Z-Dir, and Rect. With Both Tapered (X, Z-Dir). Data input is similar for all options.
In Substructure, the column size can be from 12 in to 1000 in, using US units, or from 300 mm to 254000 mm, using metric units. The program also does not allow a column to have a hollow section.
Please specify all columns and all dimensions on this dialog according to the selected pier view direction. For more information, please see section Pier Configuration Button in this chapter and Pier View Direction in Theory chapter.
